Location
The studios are situated in picturesque countryside surroundings just three miles from the busy market town of Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. This makes for a peaceful working environment where staff often sample fruits from the gardens in summer. It also provides the land required to expand through a continual programme of investment into the production facilities.
Many staff relocate to seek a career at Daedalian Glass Studios and our team are more than willing to help with this process. There is a good supply of reasonably priced apartments and houses available for rent or purchase both locally and within the wider Fylde Coast area.
Community
Our location is also ideal if you wish to explore this beautiful and diverse part of the country. Daedalian’s studio is approximately 1.5 hour’s drive from Manchester, Liverpool, the Yorkshire Dales and the English Lake District National Parks. We are also conveniently placed with excellent rail links to the West Coast Main Line which means both the English capital (London) and the Scottish capital (Edinburgh) are only 3 hours away.
If bars and nightlife are your fancy, Poulton-Le-Fylde has a lively scene with many bars while the lights of Blackpool are also on the doorstep. Slightly further away are the university cities of Preston and Lancaster, the former being the administrative centre and the latter the county town of Lancashire. All these locations are easily within commutable distance and members of Daedalian’s team travel daily from each.
Working Hours
The studio working hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday but staff must be flexible with this. Delivering on our clients’ expectations is the most important priority and, when required, staff work extra hours to ensure this is achieved. Daedalian operate on a time off in lieu system so our staff often enjoy a long weekend or a rest day once projects are complete.
