The Brooklands Hotel, Weybridge, Surrey
The Client:
The Brooklands Hotel is situated within the historic boundaries of the Brooklands Motor Circuit. Built in 1907, this was the first purpose-built banked motor race circuit in the world (and attributed as inspiring the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the USA).
The Brief:
Daedalian Glass Studios were commissioned to create a feature wall art installation and fabric laminated door panels for the Art Deco inspired interior of the Brooklands Hotel.
What we did
A custom built framework was created to provide a backing for this 3D wall installation design. Pieces of antiqued, etched, and clear mirror were then bonded to the framework.
The door panels were created using noir voile fabric, laminated between low iron toughened glass.
